New India
New India, is a self-funded NGO that is founded by two entrepreneurial and compassionate beings, Vijay Tata and Amrita Tata. The NGO is a manifestation of their vision to give back to the society and the country that has given them the opportunity to dream and flourish. New India, found its root and meaning in the belief of Vijay and Amrita that we can definitely make India a country that is invincible and a beautiful haven.
The NGO begins with three major causes as its first phase to usher in a greater common good. New India, dedicates itself to make India a safe haven for women by supporting them and empowering them, its initiative StopRape will bring justice to rape victims and help them resurrect their lives, their initiative Future Kids, initiated in the year 2011, Future Kids has already adopted 40 underprivileged kids who have been bestowed with shelter, food, education and a happy homely environment. Future Kids celebrates them and their existence.
Vijay and Amrita have started small by already pledging towards a Cancer Care & Cure Hospital in Bangalore with FREE treatment for poor with their New India Initiative.
With a commitment of Rs. 200 crores towards the cause, the couple is gifting 50 acre land worth Rs. 100 crores and an additional Rs. 100 crores towards construction of the Hospital over a period of time.
New India is self-funded and doesn’t accept any funds. It only seeks volunteers and supporters who are willing to share their time and skills and help propel the positivity the NGO stands for.

A woman is an embodiment of strength and grace, she is Durga and Kali too, and she is the creator and a nurturer. It is her substance and belief that propels this world. A standing example of the woman of substance is Amrita Tata. An equal half of a single soul, Amrita Tata is the wife of Vijay Tata and they together have embarked onto the mission of ushering a positive change in our country.
Amrita Tata is a true, visionary who has impeccable entrepreneurial skills. A woman with a warm heart and a sharp brain, combines her strengths to serve the nation and making it a better place to live.
